This Saturday marks the Autumn Equinox: a time to celebrate the harvest and the balance between day and night. As we head into the fall, we have lots of ongoing and new events at Moon and Stone. After a magical evening celebrating grandmother Moon in August, we are excited to announce Full Moon circles each month at Naive Melody in Brownsville. Come join our circlekeeper, Kari, to celebrate the moon, build community, and supercharge your magic for the next cycle.

Next, in partnership with Awaken Alma we are going to offer the Reiki I/II series at Deep Roots Family Medicine in Salem on November 12th and 19th. Our September class was such a success, we couldn’t wait until January to give you the next opportunity! If you have ever thought about opening yourself up to reiki magic, this class is for you.

If you have been contemplating or curious about Reiki healing, our Reiki Certification may be for you! We are partnering with Awaken Alma LLC to offer the ICRT Reiki I/II certification series at Deep Roots Family Medicine in Salem. Over two Sundays November 12th and 19th, you will learn to use Reiki healing techniques on yourself and others. Reiki is an energy healing technique utilizing the universal life force energy. The practice is found to be relaxing and supports deep healing. A few possible benefits of Reiki include stress reduction, decreased pain and anxiety, and increased energy.

This uniquely designed course will both meet the requirements for International Center for Reiki Training certification and also allow you to experience an Usui Ryoho attunement. Two skilled instructors and additional content provided on utilizing candles and crystals to enhance your practice. Mentorship opportunities available. This Reiki 1 and 2 series includes an introduction to reiki, instructions on self-use and as a healer with others, and attunements. Brief introduction to Reiki:

Reiki is a form of energy healing that involves the transfer of positive energy. During a Reiki session, the practitioner will then begin to channel positive energy through their hands into the reciever's body, with the intention of promoting relaxation, moving energy, reducing stress, and encouraging healing. The receiver may feel a sensation of warmth, tingling, or relaxation during the session. Reiki is a non-invasive and gentle practice, and it can be used to complement traditional medical treatments or as a standalone practice for promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

If you would like more information about Reiki and the physics of energy, we have partnered with our dear friend, Monica Rosenquist of Elderberry Life and Spirituality Coaching. Her foundational one hour course, Demystifying Energy Healing, walks through the basic concepts of the physics of energy is a great way to learn more. Integrated Yoga with Buteyko-Style Breathwork (2nd Mondays 6-7:30pm)

This class combines gentle yoga and Buteyko style breathwork to help reset the nervous system and teach tools to help manage stress in your daily life. All levels are welcome, and modifications will be provided to suit individual needs.

Planetary energies moving through fall…

On 9/22 our sun moved out of the earthy sign of Virgo and into the airiness of Libra.

Libra season brings harmony & a need for balance. Libra is an interpersonal sign meaning it helps us to learn about our relationships.

Don't allow the intensity of this need for balance to encroach on your authenticity. Let us not sacrifice ourselves for the sake of harmony.

Simultaneously, as Virgo season comes to a close we celebrate the fall equinox as well. To conclude September’s astrological energies we had another full supermoon in the sign of Aries. Bringing with it new beginnings & change.

October’s astrological events will begin with Pluto shifting out of retrograde and going direct on 10/10 in the sign of Capricorn. Pluto is the planet of destruction, death & rebirth meaning it urges us to decompose old structures/patterns and lean into the process of transformation.

On 10/14 we will begin eclipse season with a new moon solar eclipse in the sign of Libra. This potent energy will ask us to make peace with those surrounding us, establish more harmony in our environments, & re-balance the relationships in our lives. As we move into eclipse season our sun shifts into the firey sign of Scorpio on 10/23. With this, we begin our descent into the underworld to burn all that no longer serves us only to rise like the phoenix.

On 10/28 a full moon in the earthly sign of Taurus brings with it a sense of centeredness and stability during an intense & ferocious journey through the underworld. In the conclusion of fall’s planetary events, we end with a celebration of Samhain & Halloween. This signifies the end of harvest and the beginning of winter.
